A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
10351 BETWEEN THE CITY OF ORANGE AND THE
CITY OF ORANGE POLICE MANAGEMENT
ASSOCIATION.
WHEREAS, the City of Orange, hereinafter referred to as "City," and the City of
Orange Police Management Association, hereinafter referred to as "COPA Management" had
its most recent labor contract (i.e., "Memorandum of Understanding" or "MOU ") in effect
through June 30, 2012; and
WHEREAS, one of the provisions of said MOU required a base salary differential of
15% between Police Lieutenant and Police Captain; and
WHEREAS, currently the base salary differential between Police Lieutenant and
Police Captain is approximately 8.5 %, or 6.5% below the contractually required salary level;
and
WHEREAS, the City and COPA Management have reached agreement on
addressing this contractual requirement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orange has consulted with the City
Manager concerning the proposed agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Orange that the attached Agreement is approved and incorporated by reference as Exhibit
ADOPTED this 24 day of September 2013.
