A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE REMOVING A PORTION OF
VIRAGE STREET FROM THE CITY STREET
SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the County Assessor's map shows a portion of Virage Street which has
not been used and is no longer needed for street purposes as a part of the City's street system;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orange desires to amend the City's
street system, by removing that portion of Virage Street located at the northwest corner of
Virage Street and Walnut Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City of Orange will retain all fee rights to that portion of the street
removed from the City street system.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Orange as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct.
Section 2. That portion of Virage Street at the northwest corner of Virage Street
and Walnut Avenue as generally depicted on the map attached as Exhibit B and more
particularly described in Exhibit A, is hereby removed from the City street system effective
upon recordation of this Resolution in the Official Records of the County of Orange, State of
California (the "Official Records ").
Section 3. As the underlying fee owner, the City of Orange retains all rights in fee
over the property depicted in Exhibit B, and more particularly described in Exhibit A.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause a certified
copy of this Resolution, attested by the City Clerk under seal, to be recorded without
acknowledgement, certificate of acknowledgement, or further proof in the Official Records
of the County of Orange.
Section 5. From and after the date a certified copy of this Resolution is recorded
in the Official Records, that portion of Virage Street at the northwest corner of Virage Street
and Walnut Avenue as generally depicted on the map attached as Exhibit B and more
particularly described in Exhibit A, shall no longer constitute a public street and is hereby
removed from the City street system.
Section 6. All actions heretofore taken by the officers, employees and
agents of the City with respect to the removal of the street and the recordation of any
instrument relating to any and all of the real property and/or parcel described in Section 2 of
this Resolution are hereby approved, confirmed and ratified, and the officers and employees of
the City are hereby authorized and directed, jointly and severally, to do any and all things and
to execute and deliver any and all certificates and documents which they may deem necessary
or advisable in order to consummate the removal of said street or road from the City street
system and otherwise to effectuate the purposes of this Resolution.
