Chair McCormack opened the Administrative Session at 5:18 p.m.
Chair McCormack inquired if there was any Policy/Procedural Information.
v Marissa Moshier, Historic Preservation Planner stated this regular meeting will adjourn to
the special study session meeting on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 and not to Wednesday,
September 5, 2018 as written on the agenda.
v Ms. Moshier discussed upcoming Eichler Special Study Session of a revised draft of the
Orange Eichler Design Standards and responses to comments. The meeting will take place
at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 in the Weimer Room.
• Staff received direction from the City Council to expand the boundary of the Old Towne
Historic District on the west side of South Batavia Street. The boundary expansion will go
to the Planning Commission on August 20th then will move forward to the City Council
sometime in September or October.
Committee Member Fox stated the definitions listed on the sidebar of the Eichler document were
helpful and suggested adding them to Old Towne Design Standards in the future.
Committee Member McDermott inquired about the status of the Hilbert Museum moving to the
Villa Park Orchards Packinghouse and whether that would affect signage at the Packinghouse.
Kelly Ribuffo, Associate Planner responded that it is unclear if the museum will move into the
Packinghouse. As for the sign at the Packinghouse, the size and location needs to be determined
on the decorative wall, and it will come back to the Committee as part of a comprehensive sign
program at a later date.
Committee Members provided edits to the August 1, 2018 meeting minutes and asked staff to
revise them and return for approval.
Committee Member McCormack made a motion to close the Administrative Session of the Design
Review Committee meeting.

Committee Member Fox suggested voting on this item without a presentation from staff.
Committee Member Imboden stated he did not attend the last meeting; however, he reviewed the
staff report and noted that the request by the Committee was resolved in the application.
Applicant, Steve Therriault of Signtech, was agreeable to moving forward with a motion.
Committee Member Fox made a motion to approve DRC No. 4943 —� 18 — Chase Bank Signage
based on the conditions and findings in the staff report.
