RES-11061 Designating Agents For Declared DisastersRESOLUTION NO. 11061 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE DESIGNATING AGENTS TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY FOR DECLARED DISASTERS AS REQUIRED BY THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES. WHEREAS, the City of Orange (herein referred to as "City "), Cal OES ID Number 059- 53980, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, experienced a wildfire within its jurisdiction on October 9, 2017; and WHEREAS, the City is eligible for financial assistance from the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (herein referred to as "CalOES ") and the Federal Emergency Management Agency for costs incurred as a result of firefighting, evacuation, and other efforts related to the fire; and WHEREAS, CalOES requires the designation of agents to act on behalf of the City in order to apply for and receive financial assistance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Orange that: 1) The City Manager or Finance Director (collectively, herein referred to as "Agents ") is hereby authorized to execute for and behalf of the City of Orange this application and to file it with CalOES for the purpose of obtaining certain federal financial assistance under Public Law 93 -288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and /or state financial assistance under the California Disaster Assistance Act. 2) The City of Orange hereby authorizes its Agents to provide to CalOES for all matters pertaining to such state disaster assistance the assurances and agreements required. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this is a universal resolution and is effective for all open and future disasters for up to three (3) years following the date of adoption below.
