The City Council of the City of Orange, California, convened a Special Meeting at 5:00 p.m. on
April 18, 2012, in the Council Chambers, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, California.

PRESENT — Whitaker, Smith, Cavecche, Bilodeau, Dumitru
ABSENT — None
2. PUBLIC COMMENTS — None
3. RECESS TO CLOSED SESSION - The City Council recessed at 5:05 p.m. to a Closed
Session for the following purpose:
a. Public employee appointment /employment pursuant to Government Code Section 54957:
Title: Interim City Attorney
The City Council reconvened at 6:10 p.m.
Mayor Cavecche reported out the decision reached in Closed Session.
MOTION - Cavecche
SECOND - Whitaker
AYES - Whitaker, Smith, Cavecche, Bilodeau, Dumitru
Moved appointment of Senior Assistant City Attorney Wayne Winthers as the Interim City
Attorney, effective April 26` at Step C of the salary schedule, in the Top Management
Memorandum of Understanding, with all benefit entitlements.
4. ADJOURNMENT — The City Council adjourned at 6:13 p.m.
Declaration of Deputy City Clerk, Angelina Andrelus, declaring posting of City Council agenda of a
special meeting of April 18, 2012 at Orange Civic Center kiosk, Police facility at 1107 North
Batavia, and the Main Public Library at 407 E. Chapman; all of said locations being in the City of
Orange and freely accessible to members of the public at least 24 hours before commencement of
said special meeting; and available at the Civic Center City Cl erk's Office.
