Shiv Talwar, project architect, and Surinder Multani, project owner, spoke on behalf of the project. Vice Chair Skorpanich opened the public comment portion of the meeting. There were no speakers; the public comment was closed. The Committee had additional comments and questions on the following:  The representation of the height of the retaining wall behind the trash enclosure on the grading plan.  Plan discrepancies and internal inconsistencies.  Concerns about how the architecture meets the ground plane, especially where the car wash meets the slope.  The quantity, type, and size of trees that were selected.  Concerns that on-site circulation is overly constrained.  The need for the project design to reflect the topography, particularly from the West.  The Committee would like to see a finished grading plan with the site plan laid over it in order to see the final elevation. Committee Member Imboden made a motion to continue the item. FIRE ACCESS WALKWAYS SHALL BE A LEVEL SOLID SURFACE,UNOBSTRUCTED BY TRESS OR SHRUBS AND SHALL CONSISTS OF ASURFACE THAT LENDS ITSELF TO SAFE USE DURING BUILDINGEVACUATION, FIREFIGHTING AND RESCUE EFFORTS. ALTERNATIVESURFACES( I.E., DECOMPOSED GRANITE, GRAVEL, GRASS ETC.)AREEVALUATED BY THE FIRE CODE OFFICIAL FOR ACCEPTANCE ON CASE TOCASE BASIS.2.) TRESS PLANED ALONG THE FIRE ACCESS ROADWAY AND/ORFIREFIGHTER REQUIRED WALKWAY SHALL NOT IMPEDED THEREQUIRED MINIMUM 5' WALKWAY WIDTH OR THE REQUIRED FIREAPPARATUS VERTICAL CLEARANCE OF 13'-6". THE TRESS SHOULD BE ATYPE THAT THE NATURAL GROWTH PATTERN WOULD ALLOW THEREQUIRED VERTICAL CLEARANCE WITHOUT RELIANCE ON REGULARMAINTENANCE OF THE TREE CANOPIES.3.)
