Approve the transfer of funds for the Community Development Block Grant Maple
Neighborhood, Sacramento Neighborhood, and Palm Avenue Street Rehabilitation
Project, Fiscal Year 2018-2019; Bid No. 190-06; SP-4089.
2. SUMMARY
Transfer of surplus funds from Maple Neighborhood Street Rehabilitation account to
Sacramento Street Rehabilitation account to ensure sufficient funds for construction costs
including contingency and construction engineering for the three project locations.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Authorize the transfer of $20,000 from 310.9645.56582.30103, Maple Neighborhood
Street Rehabilitation to 310.9645.56582.30104, Sacramento Street Rehabilitation.
4. FISCAL IMPACT
Upon the transfer, the total budget for this contract is $623,314 and wilf be funded through
Community Development Block Grant (310):

6. DISCUSSION AND BACKGROUND
On October 8, 2019, the City Council awarded the contract for the Community
Development Block Grant(CDBG) Maple Neighborhood, Sacramento Neighborhood, and
Palm Avenue Street Rehabilitation Project, Fiscal Year 2018-2019 to the apparent low
bidder, All American Asphalt of Corona, California, in the amount of $536,244. This
project consists of three project locations, each with its own budget account, all three
under the CDBG fund.
At the same meeting, the City Council also approved the transfer of $33,000 from
310.9645.56582.30103 (Maple Street Neighborhood Rehabilitation) to
310.9645.56582.30105 (Palm Avenue Rehabilitation). Due to the existing field conditions,
extra work has been added to the bid unit prices for Sacramento Street Rehabilitation and
Maple Neighborhood Street Rehabilitation and the work for Palm Avenue Street
Rehabilitation has been reduced. The total cost for this change in scope of work is
11,350.35 which represents a 2.1% increase from the original contract amount bringing
the final contract amount to $547,594.35. Therefore, staff is requesting this transfer of
funds to ensure sufficient funds for the three project locations. The funds are available in
each account as follows:
