Paint Scheme Using historic paint color palettes from various manufacturers, cool paint colors were selected to emphasize the historic metal cladding on the building. The block building to the south is rendered in a more neutral cream color to provide further differentiation to the block building to the south, and also to diminish its importance. All of the colors also provide contrast to the predominance of red brick and brick colored buildings immediately adjacent, and highlight the building's unique materials and style. Conclusion In our opinion, this is a sensitive adaptive re-use for this unique historic resource in downtown, with all of the existing character defining features being retained. A majority of the non-historic changes to the original structure are being removed and many missing key original features are being restored.
