' The Fire Department is recommending that the City Council continue to approve the purchase of inedical supplies and medications from Life-Assist. Approximately $285,000 is spent annually on medical supplies through four different vendors. Generally, our medical supply costs are reimbursed through patient billings. Based on routine pricing comparisons performed by Fire Department personnel, Life Assist continues to offer the most competitive costs through their extended cooperative purchasing agreement opportunities.
