Upon the opening of the Parking Structure on February 19, 2019, staff reassessed the existing conditions of the Metrolink Parking Lot and concluded that it is necessary to reconstruct the parking lot with concrete pavement to match the concrete finish of the new Parking Structure surface parking lot. The concrete pavement costs more, but has a longer service life and requires less maintenance. Staff has negotiated with FS Contractors, Inc. on the change of scope of work and received City Council approval for Contract Change Order No. 1 in the amount of $92,960 for the concrete substitution on April 9, 2019. Staff is requesting the appropriation of funds from the Merged 2008 Tax Exempt Bonds unreserved fund balance to the Metrolink Parking Lot Restoration expenditure account to ensure sufficient funds for Contract Change Order No. 1. The original contract amount was $142,745. The.Contract Change Order No. 1 increased the original contract amount bringing the final contract amount to $235,705. 7. ATTACHMENT • None ITEM 2 05/14/2019
