Accept and appropriate into the City's revenue budget a disbursement of $7,408 from the
Santiago Library System ("SLS").
2. SUMMARY
The disbursement from SLS will be used to purchase downloadable audiobooks and magazines
for the Library.
3. RECOMMENDATION
1) Accept in the City's revenue budget $7,408 from SLS to revenue account
100.2001.48390.19988 (Santiago Library System), and;
2) Authorize the appropriation of $7,408 to expenditure account 100.2001.53301.19988 -
Library Books (Santiago Library System).
4. FISCAL IMPACT
The total appropriation for this disbursement is funded by the additional revenue received from
SLS.

7. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND
The Orange Public Library has been awarded a disbursement from SLS for $7,408. SLS is a
membership consortium of Orange County libraries that receives money from the State and
disperses annually to member libraries. This disbursement to the Library has been provided for e-
content products and services. Funds will be used to renew the Library's subscription to
RBdigital, a service for Orange Public Library cardholders to access downloadable audiobooks
and magazines for free.
