Final Acceptance of Bid No 178 -22; SP -4029; Council Chambers Remodel Project -
Construction (FYI 8).
2. SUMMARY
The City of Orange entered into a contract with Marjani Builders, Inc. for the tenant
improvement of the Council Chambers Remodel Project. The work is complete to the
satisfaction of the Public Works Department.
The construction provided electrical service to the remodeled dais for the voting system. This
project included installation of new wood veneer, reupholstered chairs, new carpet, new energy
efficient LED lighting and painting. The installation also included staff tables, new acoustic
fiberglass wall panels with new fabric.
The Audio/Video (AV) portion of the project to upgrade the outdated voting system, low quality
sound system, and technical support for presentations is ongoing. The AV project has
coordinated with the tenant improvement (TI) work and is nearing substantial completion as
well.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
1) Accept as complete Bid No 178 -22; SP -4029 Council Chambers Remodel (FYI 8).
2) Authorize staff to file Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.
