Contract Change Order No. 1 and Final; Bid No. 167 -34, SP -3995; Annual Pavement
Maintenance at Various Locations, FY 2016 -17.
2. SUMMARY
This Contract Change Order authorizes final contract payment for extra work at agreed unit
prices for the Annual Pavement Maintenance Project in the amount of $111,989.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
1. Approve Contract Change Order No. 1 and Final in the amount of $111,989 to R.J. Noble
Company for the additional work.
2. Transfer $60,000 from 272.5011.56340.20323 (Gas Tax — Cambridge Storm Drain and Street
Improvement) to 272.5011.56330.13120 (Pavement Management Program)

After the transfer, funds will be available in the following account:

enhance public safety and improve circulation.
Policy 3.1: Continue to maintain and repair sidewalks and pavement surfaces on public rights -
of -way.
7. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND
The City Council awarded the Annual Pavement Maintenance Project at Various Locations,
Fiscal Year 2016 -2017 on May 9, 2017 to R.J. Noble Company. With a favorable bid, the City
has added new locations that are the majority of the cost increase of this Contract Change Order.
The additional locations are as follows:
1. La Veta Avenue from Main Street to I -5 Freeway Overpass
2. Chandler Ranch Road from Chapman Avenue to Morninglory Way
3. Equestrian Drive from Chapman Avenue to South End
4. Ocean View Street from Lincoln Avenue to City Limit
5. Olive Avenue from City Limit to Orange -Olive Road
The project completed in May 2018, and the original contract amount was $4,212,900. This
Final Contract Change Order represents a 2.7% increase from the original contract amount
bringing the final contract amount to $4,326,889.
