03.10 Yorba Park Surveillance Equipment Installation1. SUBJECT First Amendment Installation and Service Agreement Surveillance Equipment No. 6520 with Convergint Technologies, LLC 2. SUMMARY The City recently completed a renovation of Yorba Park. Following the successful installation of surveillance equipment at Hart Park, staff is recommending installation of surveillance equipment at Yorba Park. The original agreement with Convergint Technologies, LLC (Convergent) covered the purchase and installation of equipment at Hart Park, Grijalva Park, all three libraries, and the Police Department headquarters. This amendment would add Yorba Park to the scope of work. 13. RECOMMENDED ACTION I 1) Approve First Amendment to the agreement with Convergint Technologies, LLC in the amount of $35,846, and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the amendment on behalf of the City. 2) Authorize the appropriation of $30,000 from Park Development — Quimby Fees (511) unreserved fund balance to account number 511.7021.56015.20266 (Park Video Surveillance & Security). 4. FISCAL IMPACT Upon appropriation, funds will be available in the following accounts: 511.7021.56015.20266 Park Video Surveillance & Security $29,380.00 780.1601.51670.00000 Other Professional Services $1,134.00 The amendment covers purchase and installation of the equipment along with a three -year warranty and maintenance program. Current appropriations will cover the purchase and installation and the first year of warranty and maintenance. Years two and three will be appropriated in future years' budgets. 5. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND In October 2017, the City Council approved an agreement with Convergint for the purchase and installation of surveillance equipment at Hart Park, Grijalva Park, all three libraries, and the Police Department headquarters. To date, Hart Park installation has been completed and the Police Department installation is nearing completion. The original agreement had a total cost of $805,988.78, and included the purchase and installation of equipment along with a three -year warranty and maintenance program. Renovations at Yorba Park were recently completed and staff has the desire to add surveillance at the park due to the new amenities and the park's proximity to City network access. The amendment to this agreement will add Yorba Park to the scope of work for this project. The project will include installation of four cameras at the park, installation of wireless infrastructure to provide a communication link between the park and the City's fiber network at the intersection of Chapman Ave. and Yorba St., and three -year warranty and maintenance. The amendment will add a total cost of $35,846. 8. ACTION: Approved the Fifth Amendment to the Information Technology Services Agreement with Conduent State and Local Solutions, Inc., extending the Agreement for one year commencing July 1, 2018, and terminating on June 30, 2019, and authorized the Mayor to execute the Amendment. 3.12 Approval of plans and specifications for Annual Sewer Line Cleaning and CCTV Video Inspection, Bid No. 178 -38; and authorization to advertise for bids.
