1,122 sq. ft. pool pavilion in the rear yard of the property.
LOCATION: 7630 E. Santiago Canyon Blvd.
___________________________________________________________________________
Pete Goodrich, Zoning Administrator (ZA), asked Staff to give the Staff Report presentation on
CUP 2971-15 – Khan Residence.
Kelly Ribuffo, Associate Planner, presented a project overview consistent with the Zoning
Administrator Staff Report.
Mr. Goodrich opened the item to the public for comments.
Lane Curtis, representing the applicants, was present at the hearing to answer any questions or
concerns of the Zoning Administrator. He stated this accessory structure was insufficient to be a
living quarter and was not set up that way with the interior pool.
The public hearing was closed.
Mr. Goodrich, for the record, clarified that according to the plans the covered pool area was
1,100 square feet which would decrease the possibility of it being converted into any kind of
living area. Ms. Ribuffo explained that the pool area was a two-level pool terrace with an open
terrace above it.
Mr. Goodrich, Zoning Administrator, moved to approve Conditional Use Permit 2971-15 to add
the plumbing facilities in an accessory habitable structure greater than 450 SF with the
conditions listed in the staff report.
