DISCUSSION AiVD BACKGROUND The project is part of the annual street maintenance replacement at various locations for curb, gutter, sidewalk, driveway, cross gutter, and ADA sidewalk access ramps. The Annual Concrete Replacement Project, within the Pavement Management Program (13120), includes a component of annual maintenance services on a scale large enough that these services require an outside contractor. As such, this contract is funded from both the operations and the CIP budgets previously approved by Council. Utilizing the City's Pavement Management Plan (PMP) ranking of the current street conditions, city staff prepared a list of streets requiring pavement rehabilitation for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 (FY 19). The street rehabilitation and slurry seal projects are scheduled for authorization to advertise later this fiscal year and will replace all the concrete in need within the street improvement limits. The total estimated quantities for concrete replacement are as follows 1. 1,300 Linear feet of curb and gutter 2. 13,000 Square feet of sidewalk 3. 1,500 Square feet of driveway apron 4. 2,100 Square feet of cross gutter 5. 11 ADA sidewalk access ramps Construction is estimated to begin in February 2019 and to be completed by May 2019. The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under CEQA guidelines Section 15301 "Existing Facilities" Class 1 (c). The CEQA Notice of Exemption will be filed with the County Recorder's Office upon Council's approval of the plans and specifications. Specifications, and cost estimates are available for review in the Public Works Department. 7. ATTACHMENT None ITEM 2 12/11/2018
