Final Acceptance of Bid No. 178-33, SP-4046; SB-1 Street Improvements, FYI 8.
2. SUMMARY
The City of Orange entered into a contract with All American Asphalt Company, Inc. to
rehabilitate Villareal Drive from Santiago Boulevard to 220-ft North of Lake Hill Drive to the
City limit. Also included in the rehabilitation are Widdows Way from Taft Avenue to Briardale
Avenue, Palmdale Avenue from West end to East End Briardale Avenue from Orange Olive
Road to East end. The work is complete to the satisfaction of the Public Works Department.
Rehabilitation consisted of removing and reconstruction severely damaged pavement sections,
grinding, and overlaying the rest of the roadway. Other aspects of the project included
replacement of damaged sidewalk, replacing curb and constructing new gutter, and
reconstruction of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) sidewalk access ramps.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
1) Accept as complete Bid No. 178-33, SP-4046; SB-1 Street Improvements, FYI 8.
2) Authorize staff to file Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION AND ACCEPTANCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that work on that certain public work and improvements known as "SB-1 Street
Improvements, FYI 8, (Bid No. 178-33, SP-4046)" (herein referred to as the "Project"), for the owner, the City of
Orange, a municipal corporation (herein referred to as the "City"), whose address is 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange,
CA 92866, was completed and accepted by the City Council of the City of Orange on November 13, 2018 at a regular
meeting of its members, at which a quorum was present and acting throughout. The Project is at Villareal Drive from
Santiago Boulevard to 220-ft North of Lake Hill Drive to the City limit. Also included in the rehabilitation are
Widdows Way from Taft Avenue to Briardale Avenue, Palmdale Avenue from West end to East End Briardale Avenue
from Orange Olive Road to East end in the City of Orange, State of California. The contractor who performed (or
caused to be performed) said public work and improvements were All American Asphalt Company, Inc., a California
corporation, with its principal office at 400 E. Sixth Street, Corona, State of California.
The name of the surety on the Labor and Material Bond for the Project is Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland
(Bond No. 7657226) in the amount of $700,152.26.
