Final Acceptance of Bid No. 178-12; Project SP-4016; Villa Real Drive Southern California
Edison (SCE) Service Undergrounding, for electrical service to Reservoir No. 2.
2. SUMMARY
The City of Orange entered into a contract with Calpromax Engineering, Inc. for the installation
of a concrete transformer pad and underground conduit. The work is complete to the satisfaction
of the Public Works Department.
This next phase of construction will be to install cable, equipment, and energize the SCE
electrical service line from Villa Real Drive to the City's Reservoir No. 2. The New Home
Company, LLC (Marywood Residential Development) has been working with SCE to
underground the overhead power lines on Villa Real Drive in front of its development. This
project installed conduit for SCE to underground the remaining overhead line serving Reservoir
No. 2.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
1) Accept as complete Bid No. 178-12; Project SP-4016; Villa Real Drive Southern California
Edison (SCE) Service Undergrounding, for electrical service to Reservoir No.2.
2) Authorize staff to file Notice of Completion with the County Recorder.

NOTICE OF COMPLETION AND ACCEPTANCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that work on that certain public work and improvements known as "Villa Real Drive
Southern California Edison (SCE) Service Undergrounding, for electrical service to Reservoir No.2 (Bid No. 178-12;
SP-4016)" (herein referred to as the "Project"), for the owner, the City of Orange, a municipal corporation (herein
referred to as the "City"), whose address is 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, CA 92866, was completed and accepted
by the City Council of the City of Orange on November 13, 2018 at a regular meeting of its members, at which a
quorum was present and acting throughout. The Project is at 2839 Villa Real Dr. in the City of Orange, State of
California. The contractor who performed (or caused to be performed) said public work and improvements were
Calpromax Engineering, Inc., a California corporation, with its principal office at 650 N. Rose Dr. #186, Placentia,
State of California.
The name of the surety on the Labor and Material Bond for the Project is Arch Insurance Company (Bond No.
SU1148759) in the amount of $92,000.00.
