SR - - RELOCATE EASEMENT FOR STORM DRAIN PURPOSES1. SUBJECT Relocate easement for storm drain purposes at 419 -420 W. Brenna Lane. 2. SUMMARY The property owner has requested the City to quitclaim the existing storm drain easement on his property in exchange for relocating to a new storm drain easement on his property. 3. RECOMMENDED ACTION Authorize the Mayor to sign the quitclaim deed for the existing storm drain easement and accept the new storm drain easement that is granted to the City. 4. FISCAL IMPACT There is no fiscal impact to the City. The property owner has paid the $1,000 fee for the quitclaim from the City for the existing storm drain easement. In addition, the property owner will install the new storm drain pipes, etc. in the new storm drain easement area at no cost to the City. 1 5. STRATEGIC PLAN GOAL(S) 1. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND The City has an existing storm drain easement on the property (419 -420 W. Brenna Lane). It is 3,815 square feet in area. The property is already developed and the property owner is proposing to expand the existing industrial warehouse. The expansion project has been approved by the City. Unfortunately the storm drain is located towards the middle of the property. The property owner has requested that the storm drain easement be moved to along the side of the property. The property owner has agreed to relocate the storm drain pipes, etc. to the new easement area in exchange for quitclaiming the existing easement back to him. The new storm drain easement is 4,854 square feet in area. Staff recommends the approval of quitclaiming the existing storm drain easement and accepting the new storm drain easement in exchange. 8.
