SR - AGR-6002.3 - SIDEWALK STEAM CLEANING SERVICES1. SUBJECT Third Amendment to Agreement No. 6002 (Agreement) with Common Area Maintenance Service, Inc., dba CAM Services, for sidewalk steam cleaning services. 2. SUMMARY The Public Works Maintenance Division currently has a contract, Agreement No. 6002, with CAM Services, for sidewalk steam cleaning services. The initial term of the contract was for 3 years ending on June 30, 2016. The original contract had two 1 -year extensions available at the direction of the City Council. The City has already approved the first extension term. Staff is recommending the second extension of the contract for FY17 /18 for $32,292 to include a 2% CPI adjustment per the original agreement. 3. RECOMMENDED ACTION Approve Third Amendment to the Agreement with CAM Services for an amount not to exceed $32,202 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City. 4. GENERAL PLAN IMPLEMENTATION Infrastructure Element Goal 3.0 Ensure adequate maintenance of public rights -of -way to enhance public safety and improve circulation. Policy 3.1: Continue to maintain and repair sidewalks and pavement surfaces on public rights -of- way. 7. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND The project consists of providing steam cleaning services of the public sidewalks, trash enclosures, and trash cans located in the Plaza, on Old Towne spoke streets, and the Plaza Park. In addition, this contract consists of cleaning areas included as part of the City's Outdoor Dining Permit, the City's Main Library, the Yorba Dog Park, Plaza Park, Train Depot, and the City Hall breezeway. CAM Services has performed satisfactorily in accordance with the scope of work for the initial contract and first extension. Staff recommends the second extension to be authorized in an amount not to exceed $32,202, which includes a Consumer Price Index (CPI) increase of 2% and 10% contingency. 8.
