2. SUMMARY
Bids for Annual Concrete Replacement at Various Locations Project, FY 17 were received and
opened on March 23, 2017. Ten bidders responded to the Notice Inviting Bids. The apparent low
bidder is EBS General Engineering, Inc. of Corona in the amount of $ 289,400.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Award a contract in the amount of $ 289,400 to EBS General Engineering, Inc., Corona, CA and
authorize the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City.

The City Council previously approved advertisement for bids on February 14, 2017. The project
was publicly advertised for two weeks. The bids were opened on March 23, 2017. Ten (10) bidders

This project is part of the annual street maintenance replacement at various locations for curb and
gutter, sidewalk, driveway, and cross gutter.
Utilizing the City's Pavement Management Survey ranking of the current street conditions, the
City has prepared a list of streets requiring pavement rehabilitation for FY17. The street
rehabilitation overlay and slurry seal project will be bid out as a separate project later this fiscal
year. This project will replace damaged concrete in specified areas prior to the street overlay and
slurry seal project.
