SR - AGR-6025.B - 2017 LABOR NEGOTIATIONS1. SUBJECT
Attorney Services Agreement with the law firm Liebert Cassidy and Whitmore to provide labor
negotiations for 2017 negotiations in an amount not to exceed $75,000.
2. SUMMARY
The City has retained Liebert Cassidy and Whitmore ( "Liebert") to provide services in
connection with labor negotiations with all bargaining units during the last round of negotiations.
The new contract would be for Liebert, and in particular, attorney Laura Kalty, to provide the
same services for the upcoming negotiations with all bargaining units with expiring agreements.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the Attorney Services Agreement
with Liebert Cassidy Whitmore.
4. FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the following account: 100.0000.52001.00000, Miscellaneous
Expenditures, $75,000.00.

7. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND
The City has retained Liebert to conduct labor negotiations with the City's bargaining units
during the last fiscal year. Under the proposed agreement Liebert, with Laura Kalty acting as the
lead negotiator, will continue to provide negotiation services for all bargaining units which have
labor agreements expiring June 30, 2017.
