These include additional pavement rehabilitation on the northbound south leg of Tustin Street, and unsuitable subgrade encountered on Vanowen Avenue. The change order also includes adjustments to the bid item quantities for unclassified excavation, asphalt concrete, sidewalk, and curb and gutter. The project account balance is approximately $29,000. Staff is requesting an additional appropriation of $5,000 from unreserved 284 funds to cover the contract shortfall and staff time for project closeout. The original contract amount is $355,156. This Final Contract Change Order in the amount of $31,044.60, represents an 8.74% increase in the construction contract to $386,200.60. 18.
