SR - - DONATION (2)1. SUBJECT Request to accept and appropriate into the City's revenue budget a $14,350 donation from the Orange Public Library Foundation (OPLF). 2. SUMMARY This $14,350 donation will be used to purchase books and materials as requested by the Library's Management Team for enhanced public service. Acceptance of the revenue and its appropriation into the FYI 6/ 17 budget are requested. 13. RECOMMENDATION J 1) Accept into the City's revenue budget a $14,350 donation from OPLF, into revenue account number 100.2001.48390.19322 (Library Foundation Donations). 2) Authorize the appropriation of $14,350 into expenditure account number 100.2001.53301.19322 (Book Budget — OPLF). 4. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND OPLF is donating $14,350 to meet the Library's collection development needs. At the OPLF 2016 Legacy Gala, guests were offered the opportunity to "Raise Your Paddle for Books and Materials ". The generous dollar amount coming from OPLF will be used to purchase popular books for the Library's Adult Nonfiction collection, such as travel guides, cookbooks, and graphic novels, to meet patron demand. The Orange Public Library will publicize OPLF's contributions in a variety of ways, including bookplates where appropriate, and credit for financial support on the Library's website. 8. Harris Computer Corporation (Harris). (A2100.0; Agr -6390, 4345.C) NOTE: Mayor pro tem Murphy abstained due to a potential conflict with his employment. ACTION: Approved the consulting services agreement with N. Harris Computer Corporation for the upgrade and the five -year maintenance agreement and authorized the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City. APPROPRIATIONS 3.10 Appropriation of funds received from Rancho Santiago Community College District (Santa Ana College) for Fire Department training hours.
