First Amendment to Agreement 6260 (AGR -6260) with BC Traffic Specialist for the installation
of traffic striping, pavement markings, and raised pavement markers at various locations within
the City of Orange.
2. SUMMARY -- 777:1
BC Traffic Specialist was awarded the contract, on a competitive basis, for traffic striping for the
City in September 2015. The contract allows annual renewals for up to three years based on
mutual agreement. It is proposed to renew the contract in an amount not to exceed $137,114.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve First Amendment to Contract AGR -6260 in an amount not to exceed $137,114 for
installation of traffic striping, pavement markings and raised pavement markers at various
locations within the City of Orange.

Funds are available to cover the cost of the contract as follows:

6. GENERAL PLAN IMPLEMENTATION
Circulation & Mobility Goal 1.0 Provide a safe, efficient, and comprehensive circulation
system that serves local needs, meets forecasted demands, and sustains quality of life in
neighborhoods.
Policy 1.6: Maintain and repair roadways and sidewalks as necessary to improve circulation and
safety.
7. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND
In September 2015, BC Traffic Specialist was awarded a contract on a competitive basis, for
installation of traffic striping, pavement markings and raised pavement markers at various
locations within the City of Orange.
The contract has the option for annual extensions up to three years, as agreed upon by both
parties. This is the first contract extension. This amendment extends the repainting and
installation of traffic striping for a one -year extension.
The contractor, in compliance with the terms of the agreement, has indicated there will be no fee
increase during the term of the amended agreement. Staff recommends extending the BC Traffic
Specialist contract until October 2, 2017.

specifications and bid documents for the Water Supervisory Control and Data

ACTION: Awarded Consultant Service Agreement to Pacific Advanced Civil Engineering,
Inc. in the amount of $43,000 and authorized the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the
