Claim(s) for Damages.
2. SUMMARY
The following claim(s) have been received and investigated by the City Attorney's Office
and/or the Risk Manager. After a thorough investigation with the involved departments, it is the
recommendation of the City Attorney's Office that the claim(s) be denied:
(1) Deny the following Application to Present a Late Claim:
a. AmeriCare MedServices, Inc. dba AmeriCare Ambulance
(2) Deny the following Claim for damages:
a. Nancy Rios
b. Trevor Sherrer
C. Ridgewood Village, a California Limited Partnership
3. RECOMMENDATION
Deny claim(s) and refer to City Attorney and Claims Adjuster.

7. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND
1. Application to Present a Late Claim:
a. Application to present a late claim from AmeriCare MedServices, Inc. dba AmeriCare
Ambulance alleging loss of profits for ambulance services in the City of Orange.
2. Claims for Damage:
a. Claim for damages from Nancy Rios alleging personal injury resulting from a trip and
fall accident on a sidewalk in the City.
b. Claim for damages from Trevor Sherrer alleging property damage caused by an open
valve after water service was turned on.
c. Claim for damages from Ridgewood Village, a California Limited Partnership
alleging implied indemnity, equitable apportionment of fault and contribution
regarding a trip and fall accident. Related to the claim of Celina Padilla.
