This project consists of providing preventive maintenance and repairs to maintain the emergency
power generators in good operating condition. These power generators are located in Civic
Center, all eight Fire Stations, and the Police Headquarters. The tasks include but are not limited
to:
1. Lubrication service with oil and filter changes twice annually.
2. Oil analysis on the stationary generator sets once a year.
3. Inspection of equipment on a regular basis to include ignition and injection components.
4. Inspection of all fuel tanks and lines for wear, cracks, leaks, aging, corrosion, sludge, and
rust, etc.
5. Cleaning or replacing air filters, fuel filters and sediment bowls.
6. Checking batteries for water levels, charge, and amps. Posts to be cleaned and treated to
prevent corrosion.
Global Power has worked for the City in the past and installed several new power generators at
three fire stations and provided satisfactory annual maintenance services.
Maintenance work will begin upon execution of the contract and be completed after one year
from that date.
