The following claim(s) have been received and investigated by the City Attorney's Office
and/or the Risk Manager. After a thorough investigation with the involved departments, it is the
recommendation of the City Attorney's Office that the claim(s) be denied:

7. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND
a. Claim for damages from Kevin Bofferding and Belinda Bofferding alleging property
damage, inverse condemnation, negligence and strict liability after a water main pipe
broke in a City street.
b. Claim for damages from Richard Brandt alleging property damage to his tire when his
vehicle ran over debris in the road.
c. Claim for damages from Mark Bryan alleging property damage to his tire when he ran
over a pothole.
d. Claim for damages from Elizabeth Corbett alleging property damage to her tire
caused by roadway conditions.
e. Claim for damages from Monica S. Tapia alleging property damage to her tire caused
by road debris.
f. Claim for damages from Robert and Cheryl Dickey alleging property damage in their
yard when a water main pipe broke in a City street.
g. Claim for damages from Florence Ann Geisweidt alleging personal injury when she
tripped and fell in public parking lot.
h. Claim for damages from Benjamin Brukardt alleging personal injury when he lost
control of his bicycle while riding through roadway construction.
i. Claim for damages from Kody Farrel alleging property damage to her tire caused by
roadway conditions.
j. Claim for damages from Sandra Helmich alleging personal injury when she tripped
and fell on a sidewalk located outside of the City of Orange.
