1. SUBJECT
Purchase Firefighter uniforms and accessories from Keystone Uniforms O.C.
2. SUMMARY
This is a request for City Council approval for the purchase of Firefighter uniforms and
accessories by the Fire Department from Keystone Uniforms O.C. for FY14 -15.
3. RECOMMENDED ACTION
Authorize the Fire Department to establish a Blanket Purchase Order for Firefighter uniforms
and accessories with Keystone Uniforms O.C. for amount not to exceed $50,000 for FY14 -15.
4. FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are budgeted and available to cover the cost of Firefighter uniforms as follows:

Policy 6.7: Maintain and update the City's Multi- Hazard Functional Plan as needed, and ensure
ongoing consistency between the General Plan and the Multi- Hazard Functional Plan and Fire
Department Strategic Deployment Plan.
7. DISCUSSION and BACKGROUND
It is recommended that the City Council approve the purchase of Fire Department uniforms from
Keystone Uniforms O.C. based on their competitive pricing, excellent customer service, and the
store's close proximity to Fire Department Headquarters, which minimizes the need for out -of-
service time of Fire Department Staff. Additionally, Keystone Uniform O.C. has offered to
extend FY13 -14 uniform pricing through June 30 2015. Standard uniform prices for FY14 -15
as follows:
Navy Work -Rite Shirt $117.99
Navy Work -Rite Pant $121.99
Black Work -Rite Shirt $117.99 (Chief Officer)
Black Work -Rite Pant $121.99 (Chief Officer)
