NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL
CODE REGARDING SPEED LIMITS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a Public
Hearing,Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be
heard, in the Council Chamber located at 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, California, to consider
the following:
SUBJECT: An ordinance amending Section 10.14.050 of Chapter 10.14 of the Orange Municipal
Code pertaining to speed limits.
PROPOSED ACTION:The City Council will consider adoption of an ordinance amending the
speed limit established for various streets citywide.
CITY TRAFFIC COMMISSION ACTION: At their August 12, 2026, meeting, the City Traffic
Commission voted 6-0 to recommend approval of the proposed speed limit changes.
FURTHER INFORMATION:All interested persons are invited to attend and participate in the
Public Hearing. Members of the public may provide comments by using any of the following
methods as set forth in the September 22, 2026, City Council agenda: mail, eComment, in-person,
or remote participation. Agendas are posted online at www.cityoforange.org at least 72 hours prior
