LEGAL NOTICE OF DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE
PUBLIC MEETING
MEETING LOCATION: City Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange.

SUBJECT: Design Review 26-0152, La Veta Grand Apartments Monument
Signage
PROPERTY LOCATION: 401 W. La Veta Avenue | APN: 390-641-20
REQUEST: A request to replace and install two new non-illuminated monument signs
at the southeast corner of the La Veta Grand apartments located at 401
W. La Veta Avenue. This property is located in the Old Towne Historic
District and is designated as a non-contributing property.
ENVIRONMENTAL
INFORMATION:
The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines
15301 (Class 1 - Existing Facilities) because the project consists of
adding two new non-illuminated monument signs to an existing multi-
family property. There is no environmental public review required for a
Categorical Exemption.

FURTHER INFORMATION: All interested parties may submit comments and may be heard on any
relevant matter relating to the proposed actions by mail, email, voicemail,
or in-person, as set forth in the September 16, 2026, Design Review
Committee agenda to be posted on the City’s website at
