HomeMy WebLinkAboutAGR-6447.C.1 - COUNTY OF ORANGE - LEAD FORENSIC SPECIALISTAGR-6447.C.1 LT 1 FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT 2 BETWEEN THE 3 CITY OF ORANGE 4 AND THE 5 COUNTY OF ORANGE 6 7 THIS AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into this Sixth day of 8 March, 2026, which date is enumerated for purposes of reference only, by and between 9 the CITY OF ORANGE, hereinafter referred to as "CITY", and the COUNTY OF 10 ORANGE, a political subdivision of the State of California, hereinafter referred to as 11 "COUNTY" to amend, effective July 1, 2026, that certain Agreement between the parties 12 commencing July 1, 2025, hereinafter referred to as "Agreement". 13 1. For the period of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 Subsections E-2 and E-3 of the 14 Agreement are amended to read as follows: 15 E-2. The cost of regular services, equipment and supplies provided by COUNTY 16 shall be as follows: 17 SERVICE COST OF SERVICE 18 Personnel Costs: 19 One (1) Lead Forensic Specialist 226,795 20 TOTAL COST 226.795 21 E-3. COUNTY shall invoice CITY monthly. During the period July 1, 2026 through 22 June 30, 2027 said invoices will require payment by City of one-twelfth (1/12) 23 of the cost for services referenced in paragraph E-2 of this Agreement." 24 2. For the period July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, Subsection E-7 of the Agreement 25 is amended to read as follows: 26 E-7. The cost of potential future salary and benefit increases or decreases are not 27 included in the costs set forth in Subsection E-2 of this Agreement. If COUNTY 28 incurs or becomes obligated to pay for any such increases for or on account Page 1 of 3 1 of personnel whose costs are included in the calculations of costs charged to 2 CITY hereunder, CITY shall pay COUNTY, in addition to the cost of service 3 set forth in Subsection E-2 of this Agreement, the full costs of said increases 4 to the extent such increases are attributable to work performed by such 5 personnel after July 1, 2026, and CITY's cost of service hereunder shall be 6 deemed to have increased accordingly. CITY shall pay COUNTY in full for 7 such increases on a pro-rata basis over the portion of the period between 8 July 1, 2026 and June 30, 2027 remaining after COUNTY notifies CITY that 9 increases are payable. io In the event that salaries and benefits costs for COUNTY employees ii decrease for or on account of personnel whose costs are included in the 12 calculations of costs charged to CITY hereunder, COUNTY shall notify CITY 13 of decreased cost and bill accordingly." 14 3.
