NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
VACANCIES, RECRUITMENT AND RETANTION EFFORTS
(Assembly Bill 2561/Government Code Section 3502.3)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Orange will hold a Public
Hearing,Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard,
in the Council Chamber located at 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, California, to consider and
discuss the status of staff vacancies as required by Government Code Section 3502.3 (Assembly
Bill 2561). The hearing will include a presentation outlining status of vacancies, recruitment, and
retention efforts.
FURTHER INFORMATION:All interested persons are invited to attend and participate in the
public hearing. Members of the public may provide comments by mail, eComment, or in-person
as set forth in the June 9, 2026, City Council agenda. Agendas are posted online at
www.cityoforange.org at least 72 hours prior to the meeting. For additional information, please

If you challenge the proposed action in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you
or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice or in written correspondence
delivered to the City of Orange City Clerk at or prior to the public hearing.
