DATE: WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 2026 TIME: 5:30 P.M. (or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard) SUBJECT: Design Review No. 25-0014, The Kickin’ Crab Wall Sign PROPERTY LOCATION: 116 E. Chapman Avenue | APN: 390-381-21 REQUEST: A request to install a new neon wall sign and re-face an existing blade sign on a commercial building. The property is a contributor located in the Old Towne Historic District at 116 E. Chapman Avenue. ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION: The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines 15301 (Class 1 - Existing Facilities) because the project consists of adding one new 40 square-foot neon wall sign to an existing commercial property. There is no environmental public review required for a Categorical Exemption.
