COUNCIL REGARDING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION
17.13.040 OF THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATED TO
CHICKEN KEEPING
PROPERTY LOCATION: Citywide
REQUEST:
Public Hearing for Planning Commission recommendation to the City
Council regarding an amendment to Section 17.13.040 of the Orange
Municipal Code (Zoning Ordinance) to modify provisions relating to the
number of chickens allowed to be kept on residential properties and
setback requirements for their enclosures.
ENVIRONMENTAL
INFORMATION:
The proposed project is not subject to the provisions of the California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to (1) Section 15061(b)(3)
of the state CEQA Guidelines (Common Sense Exemption) because it
can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that it would have a
significant effect on the environment; and (2) Section 15378 because it
will not have a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change
on the environment and is not a "project." For this reason, no further
CEQA documentation is required.

All interested parties may submit comments and may be heard on any
relevant matter relating to the proposed actions by mail, email, voicemail,
