SESSION The Orange Redevelopment Agency ofthe City of Orange, California convened on July 25, 2000 at 4:30 p.m. in a Regular Meeting in the Council Chambers, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, California. 1. ROLLCALL PRESENT -ABSENT - Murphy, Slater, Chairman Coontz, Spurgeon, Alvarez None 2. PUBLIC COMMENTS - None 3. CONSENT CALENDAR 3.1 Declaration of the Clerk of the Orange Redevelopment Agency, Cassandra J.Cathcart, declaring posting of Orange Redevelopment Agency Agenda of a regular meeting of July 25, 2000 at Orange Civic Center, Main Library at 101 N. Center Street, Police facility at 1107 North Batavia, the Eisenhower Park Bulletin Board,and summarized on Time-Warner Communications, all of said locations being in the City of Orange and freely accessible to members of the public at least 72 hours before commencement of said regular meeting.ACTION: Accepted Declaration of Agency Posting and authorize its retention as a public record in the Office of the City Clerk.3.2 Request Agency confirmation of warrant registers dated July 6,11 and 13,2000.ACTION:Approved. 3.3 Request approval of Redevelopment Agency Minutes, Regular Meeting of July 11,2000.ACTION: Approved. 3.4 APPROPRIATIONSREMOVED AND HEARD SEPARATELY) (RP2500.0.1)Appropriation of funds for the acquisition of City-owned real property generally located north of La Veta Avenue between Lemon Street and Olive Street.PAGE 1 ORANGE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MINUTES July 25, 2000 3. CONSENT CALENDAR (Continued) SUMMARY: Staff is requesting that the Agency Board appropriate funds to enable the Agency to acquire surplus property remaining from the La Veta Avenue widening project. The Agreement for Sale of Property was previously approved by Council and the Agency Board on May 23, 2000. Carole Walters (address on file) supported senior housing for this property, but will be watching to see how many units are constructed since it is in Old Towne. MOTION - Murphy SECOND - Slater AYES - Murphy, Slater, Chairman Coontz, Spurgeon, Alvarez Moved to appropriate $ 142,200 in Housing Set-Aside funds from Fund Number 913 to Account Number 913-9809-481102-9205-19875 (West La Veta Senior Housing Project).FISCAL IMPACT: Sufficient funds are available for this purpose in Fund 913.RESOLUTIONS 3.5 RESOLUTION NO. ORA- 0376 (R3500.0)A Resolution of the Orange Redevelopment Agency approving a Holiday Decorations and Lighting Program for Old Towne and authorizing the purchase of holiday decorations from Harrington Decorating Company.ACTION: Approved and authorized the Assistant Executive Director and the Agency Clerk to execute any necessary documents on behalf of the Agency.
