LEGAL NOTICE OF DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE
PUBLIC MEETING
MEETING LOCATION: City Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange.

SUBJECT: Design Review No. 25-0008, American Barber Shop Signage
PROPERTY LOCATION: 394 W. Chapman | APN: 390-662-01
REQUEST: A proposal to install an illuminated pedestrian blade sign on the north
elevation of a one-story non-contributing commercial building in the Old
Towne Historic District. The proposed blade sign has already been
installed on the property without permits, and the applicant is seeking
retroactive approval.
ENVIRONMENTAL
INFORMATION:
The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines
15301 (Class 1 – Existing Facilities) because the project consists of
adding new signage to an existing commercial property. There is no
environmental public review required for a Categorical Exemption.
