LEGAL NOTICE OF DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE
PUBLIC MEETING
MEETING LOCATION: City Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange.
Members of the public can also access meetings on Spectrum Cable
Channel 3 and AT&T U-verse Channel 99 and streamed live and on-
demand on the City’s website.

TIME: 5:30 P.M. (or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard)
SUBJECT: Desing Review No. 5163, Side Studio Blade Sign
PROPERTY LOCATION: 238 W. Chapman Avenue | APN: 390-663-18
REQUEST: Installation of a 12.6-square-foot non-illuminated aluminum blade sign
with vinyl graphic lettering. The sign dimensions are: 5 feet and 10 inches
in height and 2 feet and 2 inches in width. The sign shall be secured via
bolting in the mortar between the brick façade.
ENVIRONMENTAL
INFORMATION:
The proposed project is categorically exempt from the provisions of the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per State CEQA Guidelines
15301 (Class 1 – Existing Facilities) because the project consists of
adding new signage to an existing commercial property. There is no
environmental public review required for a Categorical Exemption.

FURTHER INFORMATION: All interested parties may submit comments and may be heard on any
relevant matter relating to the proposed actions by mail, email, voicemail,
or in-person, as set forth in the 4/16/2025, Design Review Committee
agenda to be posted on the City’s website at www.cityoforange.org. To
