MINUTES
City of Orange
Design Review Committee
June 18, 2025
The Design Review Committee of the City of Orange, California convened on June 18, 2025,
at 5:30 p.m. in a Regular Meeting in the Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange,
California.
1. OPENING/CALL TO ORDER
Chair Skorpanich called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
Roll Call was taken before the Pledge of Allegiance.
1.2 ROLL CALL
Present: McDermott, Grosse, Ledesma, Gladson, and Skorpanich
Absent: Farfan, and Lopez
1.1 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Committee Member Ledesma led the flag salute.
2.PUBLIC COMMENTS
None.
3. CONSENT CALENDAR
All matters listed under the Consent Calendar are considered to be routine by the
Design Review Committee and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no
separate discussion of said items unless members of the Design Review Committee,
staff or the public request specific items removed from the Consent Calendar for
separate action.
3.1. Approval of minutes of the City of Orange Design Review Committee Regular
Meeting held on June 4, 2025.
ACTION: Approved minutes as presented.
Approval of the Consent Calendar
A motion was made by Committee Member Ledesma, seconded by Committee
Member Grosse, to approve the Consent Calendar. The motion carried by the following
vote:
Ayes: McDermott, Grosse, Ledesma, Gladson, and Skorpanich
Noes: None
Absent: Farfan, and Lopez

4. NEW BUSINESS
4.1. A request to add 307 square feet to a single-family home in the Old Towne
Historic District located at 623 E. Washington Avenue. (Design Review No.
25-0007).
Public Speaker:
The following spoke on behalf of the project:
Mike Doting, Home Owner; Carol Fox, Architect.
A motion was made by Committee Member Grosse, seconded by Committee Member
McDermott, to approve Design Review No.25-0007. The motion carried by the
following vote:
Ayes: McDermott, Grosse, Ledesma, Gladson, and Skorpanich
Noes: None
Absent: Farfan, and Lopez
5. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:57 p.m.
The next Regular Design Review Committee meeting will be held on Wednesday, July
2, 2025 at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber.
