The purpose of this on‐call is to serve as an extension of staff to effectively address and improve the infrastructure in the City. PROVEN CITY OF ORANGE SUCCESS: The proposed Project Manager, Mr. Shirjeel Muhammad, PE, has over 25 years of hands‐on Traffic Engineering experience working in both the public and private sectors. More importantly, he has extensive relevant experience with assisting the City of Orange with reviewing of several Traffic Engineering Design plans such as Signing & Striping, Traffic Signal, and Traffic Control Plans. He is well aware of what’s required of the consultants in order to get in compliance with the City of Orange and State Standards. EXTENSIVE ON‐CALL TRAFFIC ENGINEERING EXPERTISE: Iteris provides on‐call support to agencies throughout California and has over 50 experienced technical staff to meet any agency need, at any time. Iteris has successfully served over 30 local agencies in the past 10 years with on‐call assignments related to traffic engineering, design, and related Construction Support. We have been managing this work both as staff extension assignments on site and through completing various task orders at Iteris’ offices. INDUSTRY LEADING EXPERTISE: Iteris staff are experts with the latest technologies focused on building robust redundant modern transportation systems for today’s needs and tomorrow’s systems. Innovative solutions is our expertise and, thus, we approach every project, big or small, with the City’s future goals in mind. Based on our recent discussion, the City requested Iteris to propose an open Task Order under the existing traffic engineering panel. Shirjeel Muhammad, our Associate Vice President II will be the lead contact for providing staff augmentation services for the City. He has served the City in the same capacity for the last 4 years. He will be available to assist you in reviewing all traffic engineering design, detour, and operation related plans, specifications, and estimates. He will assign staff based on the type of review(s) needed which includes but is not limited to providing related construction support. Iteris will provide Plan‐checking and Construction Support services to the City of Orange for any type of traffic and transportation engineering deliverables prepared by other consultants or contractors. Iteris can provide this service remotely or be present at the City’s offices. We will discuss timeline for each task with your staff based on the size and level of skill required on a per project basis. As per our recent conversation, our staff will provide staff augmentation services for approximately thirty two (32) hours per week for first 8 weeks working at the City offices. Thereafter, the City will inform Iteris of the staff presence at the City on as‐needed basis. Following are the general tasks anticipated for this Task Order:  Traffic Engineering  Staff Augmentation  Traffic Safety  Traffic Signal Design Plan Peer Review  Traffic Signing and Striping Design Plan Peer Review  Street Lighting Design Plan Peer Review  Construction Zone Traffic Control Plan Peer Review  Detour Plan Review  Construction Support Furthermore, following is an estimation of amount of time in Business days which would be anticipated for a particular plan check category: ‐ Traffic Signal Design Plans ‐ 2 Intersections ‐ 5 days ‐ Traffic Signing and Striping Plans ‐ 10 sheets ‐ 4 days ‐ Street Lighting Design Plans ‐ 10 sheets ‐ 5 days ‐ Traffic Control/Detour Plans ‐ 10 sheets ‐ 4 days Iteris will send a monthly invoice on a time and materials basis.
