Opportunity to serve on various
City Boards, Commissions, and Committees
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that several vacancies exist on City Boards, Commissions, and
Committees due to the expiration of terms of office. These vacancies include:
Board, Commission, or Committee Vacancies Meeting
date/time
Community Development Block Grant Program Committee*
Term of office is 2 years and begins July 1, 2025
Members’ primary residence must be in the City of Orange.
Members should show an interest in and have knowledge of
housing and community development issues, especially as they
relate to affordable housing and public service for residents of low
and moderate income.
1 2nd Thursday of
February and
March
at 6:00 p.m.
Orange Public Library Board of Trustees*
Term of office is 3 years and begins July 1, 2025
Members’ primary residence must be in the City of Orange.
Trustees shall have an understanding and appreciation of the role
of the public library in the community and in a democracy.
Trustees should be library users and should value books and
information delivery.
1 3rd Monday of
each month
at 3:30 p.m.
Park Planning & Community Events Commission*
Term of office is 4 years and begins July 1, 2025
Members’ primary residence must be in the City of Orange. Park
Commissioners shall have knowledge of sports complexes and/or
park development, and knowledge of City-sponsored events.
1 3rd Tuesday of
January, March,
May, July,
September, and
October
at 5:30 p.m.
*If appointed, members are required to file Form 700. In addition, AB1234 Ethics Education and
AB1661 Sexual Harassment Avoidance Training certificates are required
