A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF DOCUMENTS FOR FEDERAL FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE FOR THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
PERFORMANCE GRANT PROGRAM FOR FISCAL
YEAR 2023, FISCAL YEAR 2024, AND FISCAL YEAR
2025.
WHEREAS, the City of Orange has applied for federal financial assistance through the
Department of Homeland Security's Emergency Management Performance Grant program for Fiscal
Years (FY)2023, 2024, and 2025; and
WHEREAS, the grant application requires authorization for designated City personnel to
execute documents and take actions necessary to secure and manage the grant funds; and
WHEREAS,the City Council desires to ensure proper and lawful administration of the grant
funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Orange
hereby approves:
1. The authorization of the Fire Chief to execute all necessary documents and undertake all actions
required to obtain and administer the Emergency Management Performance Grant funds for FY
2023, FY 2024, and FY 2025. This includes but is not limited to signing agreements,
certifications, and other documents as required by the granting agency.
2. The City Manager or designee is authorized to take any and all actions necessary to implement
this resolution.
