Santiago Creek Commission
September 26, 2024
The Santiago Creek Commission convened on Thursday, September 26 at 5:30 p.m. for a
special meeting in the Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange, California.
1. OPENING/CALL TO ORDER
Chair Moeller called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
1.1 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Led by Vice Chair Pamela Calera.
1.2 ROLL CALL
Present: Calera, Adams, Baca, Hillman, Knight, Tillou, and Moeller
Absent: None
2. COMMISSION BUSINESS
2.1. Santiago Creek Strategic Plan Framework Review.
Public Speakers:
Reggie Mundekis expressed support for keeping segments natural. Suggested the
committee should work with the Public Works department to prevent trash in the creek.
Kathy Ashford expressed her gratitude for the work being done.
Theresa Sears shared her thoughts on digital files, not disrupting the natural habitat
and offered her services and resources. Additionally, she expressed her support for
grant funding.
Bonnie Robinson encouraged the commissioners to keep segments one, two and three
as natural as possible. Additionally, she suggested native plants be used to preserve
wild life.
Commissioners discussed the analysis procedure for the strategic plan framework
review of the Santiago Creek.
Review and approve the proposed Santiago Creek Strategic Plan framework.

3. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:01 p.m.
The next Regular Santiago Creek Commission meeting will be held on Wednesday,
October 23, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chamber.
