prohibi�ng bribery and conflict-of-interest laws.
•Laws rela�ng to claiming perquisites (“perks”) of office, including, but not limited to, gi� and travel
restric�ons, prohibi�ons against the use of public resources for personal or poli�cal purposes,
prohibi�ons against gi�s of public funds, mass mailing restric�ons, and prohibi�ons against
acceptance of free or discounted transporta�on by transporta�on companies.
•Government transparency laws, including, but not limited to, financial interest disclosure
requirements and open government laws.
•Laws rela�ng to fair processes, including, but not limited to, common law bias prohibi�ons, due
process requirements, incompa�ble offices, compe��ve bidding requirements for public
contracts, and disqualifica�on from par�cipa�ng in decisions affec�ng family members; and
•General ethical principles rela�ng to public service.
