LEGAL NOTICE OF DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE
PUBLIC MEETING
MEETING
LOCATION: City Council Chamber, 300 E. Chapman Avenue, Orange
Members of the public can access meetings on Spectrum Cable Channel 3 and AT&T
U-verse Channel 99 and streamed live and on-demand on the City’s website.
All interested persons may submit comments and may be heard on any relevant matter
relating to the proposed actions by mail, email, voicemail or in-person, as set forth in
the June 19, 2024 Design Review Committee agenda to be posted on the City’s
website at www.cityoforange.org.

SUBJECT: DESIGN REVIEW NO. 5116-23 – LEDBETTER RESIDENCE – REAR ADDITION,
SHED DEMOLITION, AND SHED RECONSTRUCTION
PROPERTY
LOCATION: 230 E. Palmyra Avenue (APN: 390-402-22)
REQUEST: A proposal for a 73 square foot kitchen addition and a 60 square foot bathroom
addition (total 133 square feet) at the rear of an existing single-story historic residence.
The project includes the demolition of an existing altered shed to accommodate the
bathroom addition at the rear of the residence and shed reconstruction in a new
location using salvaged materials.
ENVIRONMENTAL
INFORMATION: The proposed project is statutorily exempt from the provisions of the California
Environmental Quality Act per State CEQA Guidelines 15270(a), because CEQA does
not apply to projects which a public agency rejects or disapproves.
