ORD-12-90 INCREASE THE FEES FOR PARK AQUISITION SET FORTH IN SECTION 5.18.030 AND TO ADD SECTION 5.18.035 TO PROVIDE THAT SAID FEES MAY BE AMENDED BY ORD OR RESOORDINANCE NO. 12- 90 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE AMENDING CHAPl' ER 5.18 OF THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE TO INCREASE THE FEES FOR PARK ACQUISITION AND DEVELOPMENT SET FORTH IN SECTION 5.18.030 AND TO ADD SECTION 5.18. 035 TO PROVIDE THAT SAID FEES MAY BE AMENDED EITHER BY ORDINANCE OR RESOLUTION.WHEREAS, in July, 1988, the City Council completely revised Chapter 4.18 of the Orange Municipal Code to require that developers contribute land or money for acquisition and development of parks and other recreational facilities, and WHEREAS, a special fund was created entitled "Park Acquisition Development" and all fees collected and placed in the special fund are used to acquire and develop city parks, and WHEREAS, the city ~ouncil has determined that the fees should be increased because of increased park acquisition and development costs, and WHEREAS, the City Council further determined that the fees may be revised by resolution as well as ordinance.NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the city of Orange ordains as follows:Section I:Chapter 5.18 of the Orange Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:5.18.030 Fees - A. One thousand six hundred fifty dollars 1,650) for each single-family residential unit.B. Eight hundred eighty dollars ($880) for each multiple-family residential unit.c. six hundred sixty dollars ($660) for each mobile home park residential unit.Section II:Section 5.18.035 is hereby added to Chapter 5.18 to read as follows:5.18.035 - Revision of Fees. The city Council may revise the fees set forth in Section 5.18.030 of this Chapter either by ordinance or resolution. section III: A summary of this Ordinance shall be published and a certified copy of the full text of this Ordinance shall be posted in the Office of the city Clerk at least five (5) days prior to the city council meeting at which this Ordinance is to be adopted. A summary of this Ordinance shall also be published once within fifteen (15) days after this Ordinance's passage in the Orange city News, a newspaper of general circulation, published, and circulated in the city of Orange. The City Clerk shall post in the Office of the city Clerk a certified copy of the full text of such adopted Ordinance along with the names of those city Council members voting for and against the Ordinance in accordance with Government Code Section 36933. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of its final passage. ADOPTED this 26 day of June 1990. DON E.
