AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY CqUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ORANGE AMENDING SECTION 9113,43 OF THE
ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE GOVERNING BUILDING AND
STRUCTURAL SETBACK REQUIREMENTS ALONG CERTAIN
STREETS IN THE CITY OF ORANGE.
Amendment No. 2-
70 City of
Orange WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Orange
has heretofore requested that the Planning Commission conduct
a public hearing on the question of amending the building
and structural setback requirements along certain portions
of Glassell Street and Chapman Avenue in the City of Orange,
and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has heretofore
con-ducted such a public hearing and recommended that a
53-foot setback be maintained along Glassell
Street, and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered
the recommen-dation of the Planning Commission and has concluded
that the setback requirements should be changed as herein
described in order to assist in the redevelopment of the
hereinafter des-
cribed streets,NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ORANGE DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I:Subsections 2 and 4 of Section 9113.43 shall
be amended to read
as follows:I.
NORTH-SOUTH STREETS.2. Glassell Street, from La
Veta Avenue to Almond Avenue, on
both sides, forty-six 46)
feet from the centerline.4. Glassell Street,
from Maple Avenue to Collins Avenue,
on both sides, forty-six 46)
feet from the centerline. Glassell Street,
from Collins Avenue to Taft Avenue,
on both sides, fifty-
three (53)feet from the centerline.Subsection 2 of Section
9113.43 shall
be amended to
read as follows:II. EAST-WEST STREETS.2.
Chapman Avenue, from Main Street to Lemon Street,
on both sides, fifty (50) feet
from the centerline. Chapman Avenue, from Lemon Street
to the Plaza, on both sides,

SECTION II:
This ordinance shall be posted at three (3) public
places within the City of Orange as designated by ordinance
within fifteen (15) days after passage by the City Council of
the City of Orange in accordance with the requirements of law
of the State of California, and shall take effect thirty (30)
days from and after the date of its final passage.
