SECTION 9100.273 TO THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL
CODE, DEFINING THE TERM "ADULT BOOKSTORE"
AND ADDING SUBSECTION (e) 2 TO SECTION
9109 PERMITTING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE
AFOREMENTIONED "ADULT BOOKSTORE" IN THE
C-2 (GENERAL BUSINESS) DISTRICT
SUBJECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF A CONDITIONAL USE

70 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE DOES
ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:SECTION
I:Section 9100.273 shall be added to the
Orange Municipal Code to read as
follows:Section 9100.273 "Adul t Books
tore"Any business establishment in which all, or
any portion, of said business premises is devoted
to the sale or display of any book, magazine,
news-paper, or other printed or written material or
any picture, drawing, photograph, motion picture or
other pic torial representation or any statue or
other figure, or any recording, transcription,
or mechanical, chemical or electrical reproduction,
or any other articles, equipment, machines, or
materials,which aforementioned enumerated materials, by
any means or in any manner, are ei
ther 1) in fact forbidden to be sold or otherwise
dis-tributed to minors under the age of twenty-
one (21)
years, or 2) advertised as being forbidden to be sold
or other-wise distributed to minors under the age
of twenty-one (
21) years,
SECTION II:Subsection (e) 2 shall be added to Section 9109
of the Orange Municipal Code to read
as follows:Section
9l09(e)2.

SECTION III:
This ordinance shall be posted at three (3) public
places within the City of Orange as designated by ordinance
within fifteen (15) days after passage by the City Council
of the City of Orange in accordance with the requirements of
law of the State of California, and shall take effect thirty
30) days from and after the date of its final passage.
