ORD-04-70 DEALING WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE ORDER OF BUSINESS TO BE CONSIDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL DURING ALL REGULAR COUNCIL MEETINGSORDINANCE NO. 4- 70 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ORANGE REPEALING SECTION 2101.5 OF THE ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE DEALING WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE ORDER OF BUSINESS TO BE CONSIDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL DURING ALL REGULAR COUNCIL MEETINGS.WHEREAS, Section 2101.5 of the Orange Municipal Code presently specifies the order of business which shall be con-sidered by the City Council at each regular meeting; and WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that this order of business should be changed in order to contribute to the more efficient operation of the City Council business; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires that this section be repealed and be replaced by a resolution specifying the order of business to be considered by the Council at eachregularCouncilmeeting; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires the establishment of the order of business by means of a resolution in order to give greater flexibility in this procedure and permit the Council to more readily change the specifications of the order of busi-ness in order to meet future changing conditions.NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:SECTION I:That Section 2101.5 of the Orange Municipal Code is hereby repealed.SECTION II:This ordinance shall be posted at three (3) public places within the City of Orange as designated by ordinance with-in fifteen (15) days after passage by the City Council of the City of Orange in accordance with the requirements of law of the State of California, and shall take effect thirty (30) days from and after the date of its final passage.ADOPTED this 3rd day of February, 1970.iC~~Mayo o~ e -eff:Y 0 Orange ATTEST: STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) COUNTY OF ORANGE ) ss.
