ORD-01-84 PERMITS AUTHORIZED PERSONS TO MAINTAIN WILD ANIMALS IN THE CITY SUBJECT TO REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF COUNCILORDINANCENO, 1-84ANORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ORANGE AMENDING ORANGE MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 6,04,080 TO PERMIT PROPERLY AUTHORIZED PERSONS TO MAINTAIN WILD ANI-MALS IN THE CITY SUBJECT TO REVIEW AND APPROVAL BY THE CITY COUNCIL. SECTION I:Section 6,04, 080 of the Orange Municipal Code is hereby amended to add Subsection 4 to Subsection B of the aforementioned Section to read as follows:4. Wild animals may be maintained in interim confinement during the time such animals are not being displayed to the public at shows, exhibitions and educational presentations, provided, that any such interim confinement shall be permitted only in the M-2 District and, further, the City Council shall approve any such interim confinement in that M-2 District.The City Council shall determine whether a particular application to maintain wild animal or animals on an interim confinement basis shall be permitted after an application in writing has been filed with the City Manager and after a report submitted by the Orange County Animal Control and the Department of Planning and Development Services,After discretion approved, limited to receiving such reports, the City Council shall to determine whether said application shall be The City Council shall consider, but shall not considering, the following factors:have be a, The number of wild animals proposed at the location designated by the applicant.b. The particular zoning and land use of the location proposed, as well as the land use and zoning surroundings the proposed location,c, Whether such wild animal or animals are proposed to be kept in accordance with all laws of the State of California and the County of Orange. d, Whether the person or entity proposing to keep and maintain such animal or animals is licensed by the State of California Department of Fish and Game to import, transport, possess or otherwise handle a wild animal, e.
